Description
As a young boy growing up in 1930s Spain, Rafael Marquina would often spill drops of oil on his kitchen table when trying to dress food. Reminiscing about his childhood three decades later, after becoming a successful designer and architect, Marquina decided to address this problem. And so the Marquina Cruet (1961) – the revolutionary anti-drip cruet, since copied millions of times over around the world – was born. It has a steady-pour spout with a stopper base tapered to fit snugly in the top of a conical container. Both the spout and container are ground where they meet, ensuring a secure fit yet allowing separation for filling and cleaning. Dishwasher safe. Made in Portugal.
